How do you check to see if a particular affiliate program will work for you?
Posted by Guest on Oct 25, 2008 in Affiliates • No commentsConsider how you prepare your breakfast? I don’t suppose you throw your bacon in a bowl, pour milk on it and put it in the microwave or put your toast in a bowl and pour your cornflakes on it?
How do you put petrol into your car? Do you just take out the fuel pump and point it in the general direction of the car and hope that most of the petrol will make it to your tank?
I trust you answered no to the questions above!
But you see, that’s exactly how some people go about finding that one business which is right for them and will make them a comfortable living.
They try one affiliate program or business opportunity. Pay their money and expect everything to work with absolutely no effort on their part. They start one program, but after a very short time it is not working for them so they try another, then another and so on! When nothing works immediately, they just give up, cursing their luck that they’ve found another duff program.
Then they cast about for something else. Not much thought goes into their searches. The first thing they see will do. This is the one that will make their fortune!
The more discerning person looks carefully at what is on offer. Weighs up the pros and cons. If there is a trial period or a money back guarantee, he/she takes advantage of them, just to ‘test the waters’. One thing he/she will always do is to look carefully at the different programs he/she sees. Who knows what will work for them? Which program is the one to make their fortune?
before deciding which program you want to try you should examine as many programs as possible.
In today’s ‘instant gratification’ culture, there are not many people willing to spend a little extra time to really find out what is on offer. Unless something works brilliantly straight away, it must be hopeless. Unfortunately, in the real world of making money, things don’t happen as you are taught at school to believe they do.
For instance, tests at school give almost instant feed-back. And not many people fail, either. Games or shows for children on the TV give almost instant gratification and again everyone must appear to be a winner of something. The laissez-faire society where everyone is a winner…NOW, just does not prepare people for the world of internet entrepreneurship, or for that matter, the adult world in general.
By reading everything carefully you will ensure your success. Read everything many times….and then read it all again. I can hear people saying, “But what’s the use of reading it over and over? I understand it the first time.”
Well, maybe you do and maybe you don’t! Read or sing this familiar song carefully.
“I love Paris in the
The Spring Time.
I love Paris in the
The fall”
How many “the”s are there and how many should there be?
Many people make a mistake, because the song is so familiar. That’s why you must read things several times to be sure you have really seen and understood what is written. Then, when you are really familiar with the contents of the program and what it can do for you, you must test it out.
All programs now must have a 30 or 60 day trial period built in, by law. I know the seller makes a big fuss about the program being so good that he/she is going to give you 30/60 days to try it out and will give you your money back. They have to, so they pretend they are being generous! Anyway, make use of the trial period and try out the programs which interest you. Really work hard and give it your best shot. If it really does not work for you, you have lost very little and have learnt a great deal about yourself and about how internet programs work. You gain immeasurably with hands on experience. When you have experienced many different programs, you’ll have a better idea of what works for you. You will find the right program for you…..IF you persevere!
You’ll find some of the best affiliate and other programs at: http://www.businessesandshops.fw.nu .
Some are at the top of the lists in Clickbank, some are proven programs that will make you rich. However, not all are right for everyone, so what I would urge you to do is to visit the website and look at ALL the programs there. Not just a quick glance, mind. No, you must give each program your undivided attention. by weighing up all the options you will come to the right conclusion for you. Try out any trial or money back period and then, if you decide that the program is not for you, at least you have come to an informed decision and can go on to the next program with far more of an idea about what is likely to really work for you.
Be sure to try everything carefully and relax with the information and useful extras included.
My Uncle, who was a master craftsman, gave me this advice:
‘If you are making anything in wood or metal, remember to measure at least twice to every cut that you make.’
In other words once you have cut the wood or metal it can be difficult to go back. Sound advice and appropriate in the process of finding an internet business.
Make sure you check every aspect of the business before you commit any money!
Remember, an internet business is much like painting a door! If you don’t do your preparation right, the finished article will not look as good as it should. So be sure to do your preparation work as well as you possibly can and then you can sit back for a while and watch all that cash rolling in!
Good luck.
