Our main weapon is our website. It is working for us 24 hours, 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year to a global audience. It sells already BUT we are always changing it and promoting it!

What does your website say about your business? Is it promoting the right image? Always ask for independent reviews to get unbiased opinions. Funnel your visitors to your important pages - make it easy to navigate to the important pages.

Test, Test, Test!
You might think your pages are perfect. In reality, they will not be. So make a single change (perhaps a different image, different colors, different layout, etc), then test the change. Make sure you can collect data to test the effect of changes - are you converting more? are you getting more enquiries? more signups? Keep testing - subtle changes can have a dramatic effect.

How to promote your website?

1) All communications must promote your website - business cards, stationery, email signatures, signature links in forums, etc must contain your website address, email address (and telephone numbers). Do not miss an online opportunity to promote your business.
2) Articles - create articles about your website, product or services. You can submit the articles to ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com for FREE. Make sure the articles and associated resource box contain links to your website. The articles will get syndicated with your links. Free promotion!
3) PR - use Press Releases for promotion - PRWeb.com is the best but there is a charge. There are other free PR services. Google for some examples!
4) Participate in forums, blogs - respond to posts and appear to be an expert with informative posts. Make sure you have a signature with links to your site.
5) Partner marketing - for example, when you do a mailing get another business to include their leaflets and share the cost. Approach other websites to market your products in exchange for some advertising space on your website. Don't be afraid to ask!
6) Freebies - everybody likes a freebie! Perhaps when you deliver a product you include a freebie. Over delivering gives out a good message often rewarded by recommendations and repeat orders. Run a free competition on your site - people will tell others about about your free competition.
7) Talk show / local radio - local radio companies are crying out for fillers on their programmes. Give them a ring and see if they will interview you about your local business. Try to suggest a topic that will interest their listeners.
8) Seminars - many exhibitions like to run seminars in conjunction with an exhibition. Contact the promoters with ideas for talks. You will have a captive audience.
9) On cars / vans - promote your website on your car or van. Plastic banners do not cost much - but do make sure your web address is large & visible to pedestrians and drivers.
10) Leisure activities - get some T-shirts printed with your product details / website address. Wear them when shopping, going to activities, watching sports. Perhaps give some away to your friends!

Fix your PC Registry? Read our reviews ...
As we keep using the computer and make changes to the PC settings, or install new software new entries get stored in the registry. Nothing is perfect(!) and deletion of unwanted programs often leave fragments in the Registry. All these unwanted entries clog up the registry and the system takes more and more time to trace the actual and important key entries in the Registry - the result is slower PC performance. But which solution to choose? Our recommendations ...
